Field-Trip 2024

What happend

Between 29th of March and 2nd of April, we had the honor of visiting the PSI Paul Scherrer Institut and the Kernkraftwerk Leibstadt AG with some young radiochemists and those who might one day become one. It was a great experience made possible by the support of the Laboratory of Radiochemistry (especially Patrick Steinegger) and the Sonderfond of the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh). At PSI, we had the opportunity to take a personal tour of the hotlab with Marco Streit, who graciously guided us through the fascinating facilities. We extend our gratitude to all the speakers at our small symposium and the students who presented their research during the poster session. Additionally, we want to express our thanks to KKL for the exceptional tour of their power plant—a truly marvelous sight.
